Under the aegis of Prayatn Sanstha, a one-day refresher workshop was organized with district level officials from various departments on child rights and child protection under the project ‘Moving Ahead’ being implemented with the financial support of KKS (Karl Kübel Stiftung), Germany in Dholpur District of Rajasthan. The primary objective of the workshop was for mobilizing and harmonizing various stakeholders for accelerated joint efforts towards the prevention and elimination of child labor in the state of Rajasthan by striving and advocating for the rights of children.

Ms. Sunita Meena, Secretary, Legal Services Authority, chaired the event and stressed on the hastening articulation’s need for the implementation of relevant laws related to child labor. Introducing the organization, Ms Rajani Jain, Assistant Project Officer of Prayatn briefed the vision and mission of Prayatn. Subsequently, Mr. Mohammad Khuloos Khan, Assistant Project Officer set the scene by acquainting the participants with the key objectives of the project, progress made so far, the on-going and planned activities like orientation of BLCPC (Block Level Child Protection Committee) and PLCPCs (Panchayat Level Child Protection Committee) in 4 Districts of Rajasthan and its efforts towards the prevention and elimination of all forms of child labour in the district.

The event drew a vibrant group of officials from Legal Services Authority, Child Welfare Department, Anti-Human Trafficking Unit, Social Welfare Department, Labor Department, Women & Child Development Department, District Child Protection Unit, Health and Education Department, Railway Police Force etc. All the spokespersons present in the workshop appreciated the hard work of the organization and underlined the joint efforts to make Dholpur a child labor free district through collective initiatives.

During the event, Mr. Mukesh Kumar (Project Officer), Ms Pratibha Yadav (Assistant Project Officer), Ms Reena Tyagi (District Child Line Coordinator), Mr Sarnam Singh, (Railway Child Line Coordinator), have efficiently coordinated the entire event. The workshop was organized at Hotel Sundaram at Dholpur, Rajasthan on 23rd June 2022, where 27 government officials participated in the event.
