A Three days Residential Training for the farmers has been organized by Prayatn Sanstha, under the Project- ‘Combating Malnutrition through Livelihood Development (CMLD)’ backed by Bread for the World, Germany. The Training was held from 09th to 11th May 2022 at the Prayatn Sanstha campus in Shahabad, Baran.

The primary objective of the training was to equip the farmers with basic Knowledge of Agriculture to create a better knowledge platform at the farmer level for taking appropriate farm management decisions to ensure the efficient, economical and sustainable production of crops through organic farming methods.

Mr Neeraj Sharma and Ram Bhajan Mali, Agriculture Supervisors of Shahabad block have acted as resource persons for the training. From 5 villages in the Shahabad block, 30 farmers of Bheel and Sahariya communities have been trained in this process. They were sensitized to make proper plans, take appropriate decisions, and also to take advantage of the improved technologies to increase production without compromising the organic farming culture, to increase income considering available resources along with anticipated risks and challenges.
Addressing the gathering, Mr Shiv Narayan Tiwari, Project Officer of Prayatn, appealed to the farmers to make the best use of the training and follow the teachings and knowledge of the resource persons. Mr Hemraj Mehta (Assistant Project Officer), Mr Amrit Lal and Manojit Bera (Thematic Experts), Mr Kanchan Lal Kushava (Community Organizer), and Mr Satyendra (Administrator) have participated in the training.
