A three-day residential Life Skills Education training for adolescent girls was organized at Prayatn Sanstha, Shahabad Rajasthan office, from September 19 to 21 2024, under the project She Leads Change implemented by Prayatn Sanstha with financial support of EMpower.

A total of 22 girls from four villages of Shahabad participated in the transformative program. The objective was to equip these adolescent girls with essential life skills to improve their overall well-being, focusing on areas such as critical thinking, cooperation, communication, and leadership. The training was designed to be engaging and interactive, featuring activities like games, group discussions, presentations, storytelling, role plays, film screenings, and more.

The session provided them in-depth knowledge on critical topics such as personal expression, menstrual health management, personal hygiene, addiction, nutrition, relationships, self-identity, gender sensitivity, and the importance of education.

At the closing ceremony, Mr. Rajesh Verma, a resource person from the education department at the block office Shahabad, Rajasthan addressed the girls about various educational schemes and encouraged them to pursue their studies despite challenges.
