On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, the representatives of Child Protection Committee and Children’s Collective across three villages of Khandela block – Gurara, Luharwas and Salwadi – felicitated 30 teachers at a school level function which was facilitated by Prayatn team. The objective of the event was to thank and motivate teachers who are making outstanding and effective contribution towards the curricular and overall well-being of their students for the past three academic sessions, especially in the times of pandemic, through small group classes, online classes and even remedial support at household level. Members of PRI, SMC including the reputed personalities of village community graced the occasion through their judicious selection of best teachers and motivational presence. The Head Masters while representing fraternity of teachers on the occasion, thanked community members, as well as, organizational staff for the encouragement and expressed commitment to continue their best efforts so that the loss of education of children which occurred because of the COVID is minimized.
Mr. Amit Kumar, Project Officer, while briefing about the purpose of the ceremony, told that education of children is not possible without joint efforts of community and the teachers and the event is helpful in developing bond of mutual respect and trust among them.
