From 8th to 10 July 2021, 24 Frontline Workers from Mandrial block have been trained by Prayatn on issues related with water, sanitation and health so that they are able play their role in ‘Making the Mandrail block Open Defecation Free sustainable’ project which is being implemented under financial support of Plan India and NSE Foundation. The training has been facilitated by Mr. Sagar Dodha (Wash Project Officer, Plan India), Mr. Rehman (Project Officer, Plan India), Mr. Uday Upadhyay (Project Manager, Prayatn Sanstha) and Mr. Manish Yadav (Project Coordinator, Prayatn Sanstha). During the training different aspects of WASH including, personal hygiene, community hygiene and institutional hygiene, and related government programmes – Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) and Jal Jivan Mission (JJM) were discussed in detail. The participants are expected to take forward the learning gained in this process to the community through regular meetings of community based institutions and other awareness building processes which will be undertaken under the project subsequently.
