On 29th September 2025, Prayatn Sanstha organized a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan awareness campaign in Gram Panchayat – Badalpur and Chelahi, Block – Sirsiya, District – Shravasti, Uttar Pradesh under the SBI Sanjeevani Clinic on Wheels initiative supported by SBI Foundation. The campaign engaged school students and local community members to promote better hygiene practices and encourage behavioral change towards sanitation.
The sessions focused on personal and community sanitation, proper management of solid and liquid waste, and the elimination of manual scavenging by highlighting associated health risks and social concerns. Participants were educated on the adverse effects of open defecation and motivated to adopt hygienic practices within their communities.
A total of 121 community members, including men, women, students, and teachers from Badalpur Secondary School and Pandit Brahmadutt Inter College, actively participated in the campaign. The team emphasized key components of the Swachh Bharat Mission, including ending open defecation, promoting proper waste management, and fostering behavior change to maintain cleanliness.
The campaign successfully highlighted the importance of sanitation and encouraged community members to actively contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment.
