On 16th March 2026, Prayatn Sanstha, under the SBI Sanjeevani – Clinic on Wheels initiative supported by SBI Foundation, organized a Special Oral Health and Dental Check-up Camp in Madpa village of Nagwa block, Sonbhadra district, Uttar Pradesh. The camp aimed to provide essential dental care services, raise awareness on oral hygiene and ensure access to quality healthcare for rural communities.
The camp was led by Dental Specialist Dr. Ankita Pandey and Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) Medical Officer Dr. Yash Sharma, who conducted detailed examinations and provided necessary medical advice and treatment to patients. Their expert guidance helped in identifying common dental issues and addressing them at an early stage.
During the awareness session, Dr. Ankita Pandey emphasized the importance of maintaining proper oral hygiene. She highlighted that teeth should be cleaned regularly, brushing should not exceed two minutes, and it is essential to brush properly before going to bed after meals. She also encouraged community members to adopt simple daily hygiene practices to prevent dental diseases and improve overall health.
During the camp, a total of 206 beneficiaries, including 114 women and 92 men, received oral and dental check-ups along with free medicines and consultation. Many beneficiaries were receiving dental care services for the first time in the area, making the initiative especially impactful in improving healthcare access in remote areas.
The programme was successfully conducted with the support of Project Officer Mr. Sundar Singh along with the dedicated MMU Team. The initiative was further strengthened by the active involvement of community stakeholders, including Gram Panchayat Ward Member Mr. Kalamuddin, ASHA Ms. Mamta Devi and social worker Mr. Taiyab Ali, whose coordination and support ensured smooth implementation and strong community participation.
Through the SBI Sanjeevani – Clinic on Wheels initiative, Prayatn Sanstha continues to extend essential healthcare services across rural areas of Uttar Pradesh. These continuous efforts are contributing towards strengthening last-mile healthcare delivery, promoting awareness and ensuring improved health outcomes for underserved communities.
