On 30th March 2026, Prayatn Sanstha, under the SBI Sanjeevani – Clinic on Wheels initiative supported by SBI Foundation, organized a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Awareness Programme in Gudpurwa village of Gram Panchayat Hariharpur Rani block, Shravasti district, Uttar Pradesh. The programme aimed to promote awareness on oral hygiene, personal hygiene and behavioural change among community members.
A cleanliness rally was organized across the village, where participants spread key messages on hygiene and sanitation. The rally witnessed active participation from children and community members, reflecting strong community engagement and collective responsibility towards promoting cleanliness.
Along with the rally, community members were sensitized about the importance of maintaining cleanliness, adopting hygienic practices in daily life and understanding their positive impact on overall health.
To encourage and sustain cleanliness practices, a total of 4 dustbins were distributed within the village for proper waste management. Additionally, hygiene kits were provided to 79 beneficiaries, including men, women and adolescent girls, to promote personal hygiene at the household level.
The programme was conducted in the presence of Gram Pradhan Shri Chetram and ANM Ms. Pratibha, along with the active support of ASHA workers and community members. Their collective efforts played a crucial role in the smooth and successful implementation of the programme.
A total of 102 participants actively took part in the awareness activities, demonstrating encouraging community involvement and commitment towards promoting sanitation and hygiene practices.
The programme concluded with a collective pledge taken by community members to adopt and promote cleanliness and hygienic practices in their daily lives. With the support of local representatives, health workers and the MMU team, the initiative contributed towards strengthening awareness and promoting improved sanitation and hygiene practices under the Swachh Bharat Mission at the grassroots level.
