A media workshop has been organized by Prayatn Sanstha for regional media persons on 23/04/2022 at Sundaram Hotel, Dholpur, under the project Moving Ahead which is supported by KKS, Germany. The objective of the workshop was to sensitize their roles and responsibilities under the JJ Act and other laws of government and actively involve in disseminating comprehensive information on issues pertaining to child rights & protection in the district; also it saw the participation of representatives of both print and electronic media.
Speaking as a resource person, Mr Pramod Kumar Sharma congratulated the entire media fraternity, highlighting its contribution at the time of worldwide pandemic COVID-19 as standing as the voice of the poor and deprived in the most difficult times. He further explained to them the need of raising up voice for children and their rights through mass media interventions by organizing various participatory sessions in the workshop. Mrs Rajani Jain, Project Officer of Prayatn Sanstha has highlighted the initiatives which can be taken in the state with regard to measures laid down under the Convention on Rights of Children. In the workshop, Mr Khuloos Khan and Ms Pratibha Yadav, Assistant Project Officers of Prayatn had participated along with 16 Media (Print & Electronic) representatives from the region.
