Prayatn Team at Sikar was visited by Ms Madhubanti Bhattacharya, Manager, Development Support, CRY (Child Rights and You), Prayatn on 27-28th September, 2021. During the two-day Project Management and Evaluation visit, Ms Madhubanti was presented the quarterly progress presentation of the Bajaj Education and Child Protection project by Mr. Yogesh Jain, Mr. Kailash Chandra Saini and Mr. Amit Kumar who are Director Programmes, Education Expert and Project Officer at the organization. This was followed by a short visit to project villages Kerpurabada and Kerpurachota where they monitored the tuition classes and Digital Learning Centre. They held a cordial interaction with the students studying there and with their parents. They then headed to the project villages Kotadi and Gurara. The village communities welcomed them with folk song and cultural dance in village Kotadi while children of Gurara Bal Manch presented a short skit on child labor. They also interacted with the members of Bal Manch, Child Protection Committee and Adolescent Girls’ Group and discussed about their problems and solutions for the same. On the second day, Ms Madhubanti interacted with all the project staff and had an understanding of the project work and working strategy which was followed by her suggestions to improvise the outcome. She has specifically prompted the team to develop leadership skills in adolescent girls by making them to speak more through participation in debate, speech, dialogues, etc. and by making them write meeting minutes, case studies, resume or fill open forms, etc.
