On April 3 to 4, 2025, Prayatn Sanstha welcomed 24 incredible representatives from six organizations across Assam Diya Foundation, Mahila Shakti Kendra, IDEA NE, Gramya Vikash Manch, and Ursuline Franciscan Society North East for a learningful two-day exposure visit to our child-friendly village initiatives in Dholpur, Rajasthan. The organizations are supported by ChildAid Network, a German philanthropic organization, and are implementing Enabling Rights of Children (EnRiCh) Project to ensure child protection in Assam.
The visit began with a warm welcome at the Prayatn Dholpur campus, followed by an orientation session where Mr. Yogesh Jain, Director Programmes, introduced Prayatn’s Child Protection Model. District officials, including Mr. Sanjay and Mr. Virendra from the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) and Mr. Anil and Mr. V.P. Tomar from Childline representatives also joined us, enriching the conversation with their on-ground perspectives.
Later, the group split into two teams for field visits across Gunna Ka Pura, Basai Samanta, Fonde Ka Pura, and Narpura villages of Dholpur. What followed were heartfelt, eye-opening interactions with Bal Manch children, Child Protection Committees (CPCs), Self-Help Groups, and other community members.
Children confidently shared how they have raised their voices against child marriage and child labour to make their village into child-friendly village.
CPC members shared their journey of transformation from relying on support to building their own savings (Gram Kosh) and leading village-level changes on their own.
The second day was spent in reflection and capacity building. Our Secretary, Mr. Malay Kumar, and Deputy Director, Mr. Ramkhiladi Poswal, led sessions on grassroots strategies and milestone-based planning. Visitors also shared how touched they were by the energy of the children and the unity within the community.
A huge thank you to all the visiting organizations for joining us. Together, we are learning, growing, and moving closer to a world where every child is safe, educated, and heard.
