Kindernothilfe (KNH), Germany organized a Partners’ Meeting for its partner organizations from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Assam, and Jharkhand. The primary aim of this meeting was to foster collaboration among the participants, allowing them to gain insight into each other’s projects and innovative approaches. Additionally, the meeting provided a platform for sharing best practices to benefit all involved. Furthermore, it served as an opportunity to review the progress of ongoing projects, seeking improvement through feedback and input from experienced senior leaders in the fields of planning, implementation, and documentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program commenced under the Chairpersonship of Mrs. Aparajita Dhar, Country Manager of KNH. Following introductions of all the participants, she warmly welcomed the Chief Guests of honor, Mr. Satyam Kumar, Additional Director of the District Child Protection Unit, and Mr. Kumundranjan, Block Development Officer, who graced the meet on the first day. Mrs. Aparijita Dhar and Mrs. Samina Rahim then proceeded to present the functioning, vision, and mission of KNH, both in Germany and worldwide, with a special focus on its activities in India since 1959.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subsequently, attendees proceeded to visit stalls established by all KNH partners to gain insight into the project’s development. They engaged with the resources available at each stall, sharing information and responding to relevant inquiries. The stalls showcased various materials including banners, flexes, publications, activity photographs, village-development models, creative children’s activities, educational aids such as Teaching-Learning Materials (TLMs) and Information, Educationa, and Communication (IEC) materials, as well as certificates of appreciation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the final day, each partner presented their projects and their progress over the past year. The meeting involved discussions on various challenges faced and lessons learned. Best practices were emphasized, and the sessions aimed at promoting cross-learning among the partners. Mrs. Aparijita Dhar underscored the importance of increased dedication towards community development to ensure a safe environment for children, adolescents, and women in the country.
Sessions were organized to address financial discussions. Mr. Dhruv, Finance Manager cum Admin, along with Kajal Bansal, Finance and Administration Manager, conducted sessions focusing on financial matters. Additionally, Mr. Amit, an auditor from Patna, led sessions related to audits for the benefit of the participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gathering was organized over three consecutive days, from February 27th to 29th, 2024, at Bodh Gaya Residency in Bihar. Over 45 members from 12 partner organizations participated, including Deepti Foundation from Delhi, Manav Seva Sansthan from Gorakhpur, Paramarth Sanstha from Jhalon, Bachpan Bachao Andolan from Delhi, Human People to People India from Delhi, Nav Jagruti from Patna, Rashtreey Gramin Vikas Nidhi from Guwahati, GSBS from Bihar, Vigyan Foundation from Lucknow, NBJK from Jharkhand, and MDSSS from Muzaffarpur. Mr. Sonu Gour, Project Officer, and Mr. Sunder Singh, Assistant Project Officer, represented Prayatn Sanstha in this event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prayatn Sanstha has been executing a project named “Sambal” for the past four years in 50 villages of Cholapur block in Varanasi district, Uttar Pradesh with the financial support of KNH.
