In a significant stride towards enhancing the quality of education for children, Prayatn Sanstha, in collaboration with KNH (Kindernothilfe) Germany, organized a three-day training program for government school teachers on child-friendly educational practices. This initiative, conducted under the Sambal project in the Cholapur block of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, empowered 84 dedicated educators, including 48 inspiring females and 36 dedicated males with the knowledge and skills necessary to create engaging and nurturing classroom environments for their students.<\/p>\n

The training program, held in two phases from October 16th to October 21st, 2023, delved into various aspects to enhance the pedagogical skills of teachers, focusing on child-friendly teaching methods within the educational framework.<\/p>\n

The chief guest for the training was Block Education Officer, Mr. Brijesh Kumar Rai, who addressed all the teachers, emphasizing their work on child-friendly educational processes. He urged everyone to actively participate and benefit from the training conducted by Prayatn Sanstha. During the training, resource persons – Mr. Akhilesh Kumar Yadav and Mr. Arvind Kumar Dixit – covered topics such as basic competencies, incorporating child-friendly teaching and learning processes in children’s education, recreational activities, and creating interest in students, effectively. During the workshop, participants actively engaged in hands-on sessions dedicated to crafting effective Teaching Learning Materials (TLMs). Consequently, teachers gained valuable practical experience, allowing them to confidently develop and utilize these tools in their own classrooms.

Project Officer, Mr. Sonu Gaur, further elaborated on the vision, mission, and objectives of Prayatn Sanstha, highlighting the project’s goals and emphasizing the importance of child rights.<\/p>\n

The training program took place at the Resource Center in the heart of Cholapur Block, providing an ideal setting for collaborative learning and professional development. The program received crucial support from key figures within the organization, including Assistant Project Officers – Mr. Sandeep Sonakar and Mr. Sundar Singh, Administrator – Mr. Dilip Kumar, and on-site support teachers – Ms. Rajni, Manju, Jyoti, Rashmi, Sunita, Geeta, Babita, Roshni, Lalita, and Premlata. Their collective dedication and expertise were instrumental in the program’s success.

With their newfound knowledge and skills, the participating teachers are now equipped to implement innovative child-friendly teaching practices in their classrooms, fostering a more engaging and enriching learning environment for every child. This initiative marks a significant step forward in the advancement of child-centered education in Cholapur Block and beyond.<\/p>\n
